Ever since recorded history (at least 3,000 years), all things sports have been around. Initially, early games involved throwing spears, stakes, rocks, and sparring one on one with opponents mainly in preparation for going to war. The concept of team sports according to historians was primarily an invention of Western culture. From the time we are able to run, push, pull, swim, jump or climb, we enjoy making events out of the physical pushes. Furthermore, we cheer and follow our favorite teams, and players, and even trace to support them in their efforts! As we discover and find ways to improve and grow in sports, we will add them here.

Best Off-Ice Hockey Training: If you are like me, this is my favorite outdoor winter sport. Growing up we put together neighborhood teams and ventured out on farm ponds to “compete” with other neighboring “town” teams. Unfortunately, our schools didn’t fund this winter sport so there was no one to help you improve your game. However, this comprehensive training guide is just the ticket for improved performance. Most training programs emphasize conditioning programs used in track and field. While this is an element in conditioning it doesn’t help you in improving your speed on the ice. Furthermore, it doesn’t develop the explosive forces your body needs to react on ice to sudden changes in momentum in the game. Baseball Pitch Training: I wish I had had this training program when I coached 9-10-year-old Little League Team in Alabama. I didn’t have any experience as a pitch.
