We had the opportunity to get the rules from Michael Silva (founder) over a Zoom call. Even though the rules come in the kits, this will get your mind going. The beauty of this game is the rules provided are one way to play the game. You can make or adjust the rules, your imagination is the only limit!
Tailgate Game Ideas: Rules of this Game
Place the chairs up to 40 feet apart (this is suggested and can vary the distance based on players’ skills). For the PRO increase the distance a bit more.
Teammates are positioned on the same side. You can play 1 on 1 up to 4 on 4. You can off-balance the sides as you strategize. For instance 1 player on the left, 3 on the right. But at least have one on each side for a team of 2 or more. See why in the video!
Scoring:
Throw football into the basket tallies a Touchdown of 6 points. Throw and hits any part of the chair or the uprights scores 3 points.
DEFENSE: Should the defending team catch the ball after the ball bounces off the chair (bouncing off the ground doesn’t count) and the bounce off the chair can’t be caused by a deflection by the defense. As a result of a legitimate bounce, the defense has two options to score. First of all, they can take a knee for an automatic 3 points. However, the defense can risk it all and return the ball back. IF they elect to return the ball, the opposing team (now the DEFENSE) can stop the return where they 2 hands (not one) touch the returning runner (no points scored). However, the returning team gets to throw the ball from the downed location towards the chair for points (only one attempt).
Note: If the teams are 2 or more players, the Offense and Defense can come to play. In other words, blocking or lateral pitches are in play!
After Touchdown:
You can Kick the ball from the T. If it goes through the uprights it’s 1 point. Should the ball land in the bucket, known as a FITZ it is an instant WIN for the kicking team and an Automatic GAME WON AnD Over! If the KICK goes wide right or wide left, the ball is in play. In other words, the Defense can catch and return the ball (same rules as above for Return)
WINING TEAM:
The first team to score 54 points wins. The winning team has to win by 2 points or more. Once a team gets to the winning amount, the other team gets a chance to force a tie (if the team is within 7 points) by throwing and hitting the chair. Game tied!
Also to make this game even better. How about sporting your favorite collegiate or NFL team when playing. Will Alabama beat LSU? Even throw the football with your team’s logo on it!
HAIL MARY
If the team is losing by 8 or more, you can outright win the game with a HAIL MARY pass. To begin with, your increase the distance by stepping back equal to the number of points you are behind. Then, if your throw lands in the buck, you win are mobbed and carried off the field which shouts of RUDY!

It has brought countless hours of fun when getting together with family and friends. It is so well built that it will pass down through the generations!
Side Note:
To get into “game” shape I needed to drop my weight down, especially my waist. For all us “OLD MEN” I have dropped enough weight that I’m able to fit in waist sizes that have been in my closet collecting dust for the past several years! It’s great not having to spend more on a wardrobe! Plus, it is great to be quicker and more agile for those run-backs to score! I managed to do it with this amazing product.
